Garden Tasting

Description

October is Farm to School Month! Please consider helping us serve our eager 500+ students the delicious food being made with produce from the Burns Park School garden. Sign up here to help on Wednesday, October 2nd from 11:30-1:30 and/or Monday, October 21st from 11:30-1:30. 

On October 2nd, for the first time ever, our food service company, Chartwells, is doing a tasting menu that will feature our school garden produce! Our garden herbs will be featured in a roasted garlic and sage pumpkin hummus, garlic hummus and a tabbouleh salad. Yum! 

On October 21st, Project Healthy Schools will visit Burns Park Elementary and they also plan to create special recipes with our school garden produce.   

We are thrilled to be partnering with these two organizations in new and exciting ways. Not only will your students taste delicious new recipes but they will learn about sustainability and the benefits of locally grown food!
