Volunteer Sign Up

Thank you for your interest in volunteer opportunities!  This page will be regularly updated with school-wide and classroom specific volunteer activities. These opportunities range from one time opportunities to weekly recurring opportunities. Please check back to see what new opportunities are available. 

Please note that the current Ann Arbor Public Schools District policy is that all volunteers have a background check on file. Please return your completed Volunteer Background Check Form to the Burns Park Elementary Office staff -- not the PTO. The background check takes about a week to process and will need to be renewed every school year. 

Wanted:

Art Angels - Help out during a class's art time

Lunch Recess Helpers - Help oversee recess for a grade

Library Helpers - Help the library teacher in the morning by restocking books that are returned 

Room parents - Help plan and run class parties and assist the teacher as needed

Special Events - Help out at annual Burns Park Elementary events like the Burns Park Run or Ice Cream Social

Walk & Talk Coaches - Help out during lunch when kids have the opportunity to run/walk laps to earn "toe tags"
