Donation Due Date for Family-to-Family Giving
Burns Park Elementary is “A School Built on Kindness at the Base of a Magic Mountain”—and every child in our school gets a t-shirt proclaiming who we are and who we want to be at our school. Our community also is a generous one, as we’ve shown each year at this time. Every year in early December, we launch the Family-to-Family Giving program, a program which supports those of us who could use a little extra financial support around the holidays.
Your PTO is always working on how we can best work towards kindness, inclusion and a supportive school environment. This year, your PTO budget solidified that commitment by creating a budget line for scholarships and support that includes our Family-to-Family giving, so that our amazing spirit of generosity is not only part of the winter holiday season, but highlighted as a part of who we are, all the time.
Children from our school have decorated envelopes that will come home in backpack mail for your contributions to our annual fund Family-to-Family Giving budget. Last year, we were able to support nearly sixty children and their families with gift cards of $90.
Thanks for any financial contribution you’d like to make—big or small—as we work together to support one another. Please put your donation in the envelope and return it to your classroom teacher. Cash is fine, as is a check made out to “Burns Park PTO.” You can also give online at your bpepto.org website or you may drop your donation directly in the FTFG box in the office. All donations are tax deductible and tax receipts are available upon request. The final due date for contributions this year is Friday, December 6, 2019.
